Policy

The Board of Trustees is charged with the overall governance of Â鶹ÊÓƵ [G.S. 115D-12]. The Board thus assumes responsibility for establishing general policies to guide growth, development, and operation of the College. The President of the institution is responsible for advising the Board of Trustees on policy formulation and for carrying out adopted policies. New policies or existing policies requiring amendment will be presented to the Board for review at a regularly scheduled meeting (First Reading). At the next regularly scheduled meeting the Board will again review the new policy or an existing policy requiring amendment (Second Reading). The Board will then vote to accept or reject the new policy or the existing policy that required amendment.

The College administration is responsible for identifying, defining, and implementing internal procedures, rules, and practices necessary to comply with policies adopted by the board of Trustees.
