Job Abandonment
Policy
Employees are required to report to work as scheduled, unless the employee is on approved leave (including sick and vacation leave) or the employee’s supervisor excuses the employee’s absence or tardiness. If an employee fails to report to work without properly contacting and obtaining approval for the absence from their supervisor, the absence will be considered absent without leave. If the absence without leave exceeds three (3) consecutive working days, the employee will be considered to have abandoned their job. If an employee abandons their job, the College may process separation paperwork.
