Policy

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (MTCC) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for students, employees, and all visitors to the College. Therefore, the College shall conduct background checks on all prospective new employees, volunteers, contractors and current employees as set forth in this policy.

Refusal to consent to a background check, providing false information, failing to provide information, or any other reason deemed appropriate by the College may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination or withdrawal of an offer of employment.

Current employees who are selected for new positions within MTCC must have a current background check on file prior to the appointment. A background check is considered current if it was conducted within the last three (3) years. The background check shall be reviewed according to the new position requirements and may require additional components that were not required for previous employment.

Note: For the purposes of this policy contractors refers to the following:

  • Instructors: Guest lecturers or specialized experts hired for a single workshop, who are not integrated into the permanent faculty structure.
