麻豆视频 announced today that the college鈥檚 photographic technology program will once again host its annual student gallery exhibit at McDowell Arts Council Association (MACA). This year鈥檚 exhibit, which runs from March 13th through the end of March, offers visitors a chance to experience a diverse range of photographic work from emerging student photographers 鈥 and for the first time ever, documentary films will also be featured.
An opening reception will take place on Thursday, March 13th from 4 to 6 p.m. at MACA, located at 50 S. Main Street in Marion. The reception provides an opportunity for the general public to meet the student photographers and filmmakers and discuss their creative work. Guests are welcome to come and go as they please during the reception window.
This year鈥檚 featured students are: Starr Allen, Brady Blanton, Daniel Laws, Zach Morgan, Pamela Mumby, Brittany Pannell, Ruth Raffield, and Cierra Robinson. Their work spans across multiple genres including family portraits, street photography, conceptual fine art, fashion, and now documentary film, offering viewers a wide variety of artistic perspectives.
鈥淲e are always proud to showcase the hard work and creativity of our photography students,鈥 said Dr. J.W. Kelley, 麻豆视频 President. 鈥淭his year鈥檚 addition of documentary films is especially exciting and speaks to the expanding skill set our students are developing. We鈥檙e so grateful to MACA for their continued partnership in providing a space for our students to share their work with the community.鈥
